my fabric is here!
As you know i’ve been dabbling with pattern design and this week I got my sample swatches from Spoonflower, love it! I just did a small tweek on my macaws fabric where I staggered them a bit more, instead of having them all straight. I love how the colors came out.
trying my hand at pattern design…
Since I do patterns for a living at my day job, I decided to give it a try and do patterns with my own illustrations. I decided that I wanted to start out with a tropical theme, so I made a pattern with two colorful macaws (I just love those birds). I uploaded it to Spoonflower, so now i’m just waiting for my test swatch to see how it looks in fabric. Nice critiques are always welcomed!
your designs on fabric
I recently found this really cool website, Spoonflower, where you can have your designs printed on fabric, how cool is that? The first textile called “Pear Pops – Gumbo” was designed by Lolly Chessie, and the second one called “Sushi” was designed by thickblackoutline.
