My mom is an elementary school teacher, who just happened to write a storybook about her childhood experience of moving to a new house. So the good daughter that I am, I couldn’t help but to offer to illustrate and design it, and I gotta say, I’m having a blast. This is only the first spread, but they will be more to come!

Mi mamá es una maestra de escuela primaria, y en su tiempo libre escribió un libro de cuentos para niños sobre su experiencia de mudándose a una nueva casa cuando ella era una niña. Como yo soy una super buena hija, me ofrecí diseñarle e ilustrale su libro, y confieso que me estoy super divirtiendo con este libro. Esta es solo la primera página, pero pronto pondré más.

Fossil has been always one of my top favorite fashion brands, they take great design mesh with some vintage spices and produce just fashion loveliness. This year especially i’m just Fossil lovin’ since they have this new page in their website called “Fossil. Life. Style”. It includes a DIY project, the fashion style of their favorite fashion bloggers, and my personal favorite “A day in the life of a Fossil Creative”. // Fossil siempre ha sido uno de mis marcas favoritas de moda, ya que ellos saben mezclar buen diseño con un el estilo “vintage” para producir modas divinas. Este año especialmente estoy adorando a Fossil ya que tienen una nueva página en su sitio web llamado “Fossil. Life. Style”. Esta página incluye un proyecto DIY, los estilos favoritos de sus bloggers preferidas, y un mini diario que te muestra un día en la vida de un creativo de Fossil, lo cual es mi parte favorita.

I’m such a big fan of book design, especially the ones with amazing illustrations. Here is one from a recently found amazing Dallas-based design studio, Eight Hour Day, called Eli, No! // Soy una super fanática de diseño de libros, especialmente de los que contienen ilustraciones fenómenales. I’m not a Mad Men follower, but since its one of the most popular cable shows right now, I just couldn’t resist posting these really cool series of posters designed by Ben Whitesell. // Realmente no sigo la serie televisiva Mad Men, pero como es uno de los shows de cable más populares del momento, no me pude resistir poner esta serie de posters diseñadas por Ben Whitesell.

Imagine a complete library dedicated solely to indie art, well look no further, a new organization called the Art House Co-op has several projects where artists from all over the world can participate and have their art displayed and then archived for future visitors. How cool is that idea? Right now they have two projects going on, the Sketchbook project (basically defined as “It’s like a concert tour but with sketchbooks”) where for a fee they send you a black sketchbook where you can fill it up according to whatever theme you choose; and, the Pockets project where you send in all the clutter accumulated in your pockets, which is later on used as part of an on-going art installation. // Imagínate una biblioteca dedicada solamente al arte independiente, pues no busques más. Una nueva organización llamada Art House Co-op tiene varios proyectos donde artistas de alrededor del mundo pueden participar y tener su arte exhibido y despúes guardado para las futuras generaciones. La idea esta super genial, ahora mismo tienen dos proyectos abiertos, el primero se llama Sketchbook Project ( lo llaman “un tour de conciertos para cuadernos de dibujo) y el segundo se llama Pockets, donde puedes mandar todos las cositas que residen en tus bolsillos. Luego usan estos artículos para una instalación de arte.
